Our ice climbing course is a weekend course for the ones who want to get introduced to the sport, learn\u00a0 to approach it with safety in mind and where to start.<\/p>

The course focuses on\u00a0 climbing technique, rope work, belaying and\u00a0 \u00a0more.<\/p>

Previous ski touring experience is not required. Use of ropes and rock climbing experience is helpful.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>

It is important to arrive well equipped for the course. Participants must bring the following equipment:<\/div>

Climbing harness<\/p>

  • Crampons and ice axes (provided by the course provider)<\/li>
  • Avalanche safety kit (transceiver, shovel, and probe) \u2013 please note that avalanche safety equipment is recommended to be less than 5\u201310 years old.<\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/div>

    • Stiff climbing\/hiking boots.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/li>

    • Backpack<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/li>

    • Climbing helmet<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/li>

    • Waterproof shell jacket and trousers<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/li>

    • Warm insulated jacket<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/li>

    • Warm gloves and lightweight gloves<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/li>

    • Hat<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/li>
